The content of this website is provided for general information only and may be updated or changed without notice. While Summit Psychology aims to keep information accurate and up to date, we do not guarantee that all information on the website will always be complete or current.

Information on this website is general in nature and does not constitute psychological or other health advice. If you have concerns about your mental health or wellbeing, please seek advice from an appropriately qualified health professional.


Summit Psychology is not a crisis or emergency service. If you are in immediate danger or require urgent assistance, please call Triple Zero (000) or attend your nearest hospital emergency department. Crisis support is also available through Lifeline on 13 11 14. Other support options include the Suicide Call Back Service on 1300 659 467 and Beyond Blue on 1300 22 4636.
 

Appointments and Bookings
Online booking through the Summit Psychology Client Portal is available to existing clients only. Appointments are subject to availability and your current treatment arrangements with Summit Psychology.


When making an online booking, please ensure that the appointment date, time and location are correct before confirming your booking.
If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment after booking, please contact Summit Psychology directly. Summit Psychology may occasionally need to change or cancel an appointment and will contact you as soon as practicable if this occurs.

 

Fees and Payment
The standard fee for a 50-minute initial consultation is $280. The standard fee for subsequent 50-minute consultations is $250.


Payment for an initial consultation is required three days before the appointment. Ongoing appointments are generally billed automatically on the morning following the appointment.


Where you have separately authorised Summit Psychology to securely store and charge a payment method, applicable appointment fees, outstanding fees and cancellation fees may be processed using that payment method.


Fees may be reviewed from time to time. Clients will be advised of changes to fees that apply to their appointments.
 

Cancellations and Rescheduling
Summit Psychology requires at least 48 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment.

  • More than 48 hours' notice: no cancellation fee applies.

  • Between 24 and 48 hours' notice: 50% of the applicable appointment fee will be charged.

  • Less than 24 hours' notice or non-attendance: the full appointment fee will be charged.


If Summit Psychology is able to fill the cancelled appointment with another client, the cancellation fee will be waived.


Medicare and private health insurance rebates are not available for cancellation or non-attendance fees.
 

Medicare and Private Health Insurance
Where you intend to claim a Medicare rebate, you are responsible for ensuring that you have a valid referral and any required Mental Health Treatment Plan or review in place.


You are also responsible for monitoring the number of Medicare-rebated psychology sessions you have used and arranging any required review or updated referral with your GP or psychiatrist.


Eligibility for Medicare or private health insurance rebates depends on your individual circumstances and the requirements of the relevant scheme or insurer.
 

Privacy and Data
Summit Psychology is committed to protecting your privacy and handling personal and health information appropriately.


Information provided through this website, the Client Portal or in connection with psychological services will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable privacy and health records legislation.


Please refer to our Privacy Policy for further information about how personal information is collected, stored, used and disclosed.
 

Client Portal
The Summit Psychology Client Portal is provided through Zanda, our practice management system. The portal may be used to book or manage appointments, complete forms and manage other administrative aspects of your care.


Access to the Client Portal may occasionally be interrupted or unavailable due to maintenance, technical issues or circumstances outside Summit Psychology's control.


Website Access and Availability
We do not guarantee that access to this website will always be uninterrupted or error-free. Summit Psychology may update, correct or remove content from the website at any time.

 

Intellectual Property
This website contains material that is owned by or licensed to Summit Psychology, including text, design, layout, logos, images, graphics and other resources.


You may view, download and print website content for your personal, non-commercial use. You may not reproduce, distribute, republish or commercially use website content without prior written permission from Summit Psychology, except where otherwise permitted by law.
