What We're Unable to Provide

While we provide a wide range of services for many different concerns, there are some areas we are unable to support. We believe in being transparent about these limits so you know what to expect. If you need support we cannot provide, we’ll do our best to guide you towards the right service.

While we do offer a wide range of services for many different types of concerns and mental health issues people in the community are struggling with, there are some things that we are unable to help with. These include the following:

  • Active suicidal intent or recent suicide attempts requiring crisis or inpatient care

  • Current or severe self-harm behaviour

  • High risk of harm to others

  • History of psychosis, mania, schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, or bipolar disorder

  • Complex forensic issues (e.g., court-ordered reports, legal assessments)

  • Substance use concerns where this is the primary issue requiring treatment

  • Eating disorders

  • Ongoing family court proceedings involving custody/access disputes

  • Cognitive or behavioural support for clients with moderate to severe intellectual disability

Summit Psychology does not accept referrals funded through:

  • WorkSafe (also known as WorkCover)
